
Red PSM Flags led the way to all the guest from the Federal Highway to the dinner venue at Dewan Sivik Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya today. Tonight was a successful fund raising dinner attended by about 800 over people from all over the country. Besides the red flags around the hall, banner of prominent past leaders was also put up in the hall. Pictures of Ahmad Boestamam, Lim Ching Siong, Veerasenan, Ganapathy, Dr.Burhaniddin Helmi decorated the pillars of the Banquet Hall.
Among the guest who joined the function was Sdr.Khalid Samad, Ahli Parlimen Shah Alam, Sdr Lau Weng San and Sdr Dr.Cheah State Assemblyman for Bukit Tunku and Damansara Utama, Sdr Dr.Xavier Jayakumar Selangor State Exco, Sdri Elizabeth Wong Selangor State Exco, various local city councillors from Subang Jaya, Hulu Selangor Petaling Jaya dan Shah Alam.
The majority of others who attended were from PSM grassroot areas in estates, factories, kampung peneroka, kampung baru and NGOs.

Dr.Nasir recalled the many challenges of the socialist party in the last ten years to exercise our right as officially registered party. There were also many performances by the youth movement from Bangi, Port Klang and Semenyih.

Sdr.Khalid Samad discussed the current political crisis in Perak.He questioned the legality of the State Assembly seating on the 7th May that physically removed the Pakatan Rakyat government speaker Sivakumar as it was not even officiated by the Perak Sultan yet.

Dr.Kumar explained the horrors of capitalism and the current economic crisis that it has brought us to. Sdri Elizabeth in her speech later that evening invited the PSM to join Pakatan Rakyat.
The nite ended with two interesting song by Segar and Sugu "Sosialis kembali Malaysia" and a energetic dance by the Ampang Socialist Arts Club.
